Researchers at Israeli food-tech company Aleph Farms have been growing artificial (人造的) meat in space. A team from the company was sent to the International Space Station to 3D print meat. Now they want to see if meat cells can grow naturally in space. The company is conducting new tests to see how the cells (細(xì)胞) respond to zero gravity. “Physiology (生理學(xué)) and biology behave very differently in a microgravity (微重力) environment,” said Zvika Tamari, the head of Aleph Farms’ space program. “So, we actually don’t know, nobody knows, if these processes of cultivation of meat proliferation (增殖) can actually occur in space.”
