The total exhibition area of this year's CIIE will be further expanded to 366,000 square meters. Over 80% of Fortune Global 500 and industrial leaders who participated in the fair last year will return for the fourth CIIE, according to Sun Chenghai, deputy head of the CIIE Bureau. From the exhibitor side, nearly 3,000 businesses from 127 countries and regions will participate in this year's CIIE. Words related to vaccines have spiked in frequency in 2021 due to Covid, with double-vaxxed, unvaxxed and anti-vaxxer all seeing a surge in use. A notice issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development said that in cities with an urban population of above 3 million, the construction of buildings above 500 meters is banned. Buildings taller than 250 meters can only be built under strict restrictions. For example, the construction plans should be reviewed for fire safety and seismic performance.
