　　全國翻譯專業資格考試(China Accreditation Test for Translators and Interpreters -- CATTI)是受國家人力資源和社會保障部委托，由中國外文出版發行事業局負責實施與管理的一項國家級職業資格考試，已納入國家職業資格證書制度，是一項在中國實行的、統一的、面向全社會的翻譯專業資格(水平)認證，是對參試人員口譯或筆譯方面雙語互譯能力和水平的評價與認定。

　　二、三級筆譯考試均設《筆譯綜合能力》和《筆譯實務》2個科目;口譯考試均設《口譯綜合能力》和《口譯實務》2個科目，其中二級口譯考試《口譯實務》科目分設“交替傳譯”和“同聲傳譯”2個專業類別。報名參加二級口譯考試的人員，可根據本人情況，選擇口譯交替傳譯和同聲傳譯兩個專業類別的考試。報考二級口譯交替傳譯的人員，參加《口譯綜合能力》和《口譯實務(交替傳譯類)》2個科目的考試;報考二級口譯同聲傳譯的人員，參加《口譯綜合能力》和《口譯實務(同聲傳譯類)》2個科目的考試;已通過了二級口譯交替傳譯考試并取得證書的人員，可免試《口譯綜合能力》科目，只參加《口譯實務(同聲傳譯類)》科目的考試。

　　翻譯碩士專業學位研究生，入學前未獲得二級或二級以上翻譯專業資格(水平)證書的，在校學習期間必須參加二級口譯或筆譯翻譯專業資格(水平)考試，并可免試《綜合能力》科目，只參加《口譯實務》或《筆譯實務》科目考試。
