Michael O'Connor, ACA

Michael is a former student of Griffith College and has taught extensively on Griffith College undergraduate and professional accounting courses in Russia and China over the past eight years. He has lectured at all levels in accounting and taxation. He is focussed on student success and has had many prizewinners overseas. Prior to this Michael worked in the tax department of Arthur Andersen in Dublin.
Umesh Rana B.Comm., CPA (USA)

Umesh is a Senior Auditing Lecturer with Griffith College and has been with the college for over nine years. He has lectured ACCA, ACA and CPA examinations at all levels in both our Dublin and Cork campuses. Prior to joining Griffith College, Umesh accumulated over 11 years of diverse and practical auditing experience with Ernst & Young (U.K.) and Pricewaterhouse Coopers (U.S.). Umesh's strong, no-nonsense; 'hands on' auditing experience makes his lectures very popular amongst students. His extensive practical and theoretical knowledge ensures his students achieve the best results in their exams compared to their national and worldwide ACCA students. Since he started, Umesh's inimitable lecturing style has seen his students win 20 national ACCA prizes.

Michael is a full time member of staff with Griffith College. He previously held senior positions in a number of Financial Institutions and has been involved in two new company start ups. He has lectured to professional accountancy students over the last 25 years. Michael currently lectures on Financial Management / Financial Strategy to ACCA, ACA and CPA students.
Gary Keenan Chartered MCIPD.

Gary has been an ACCA lecturer with Griffith College for the past 9 years. His immeasurable background in senior management roles at home and abroad, in both HR and Marketing, has resulted in a confident and winning style, highly popular amongst students. Gary's broad business background also includes the establishment of a restaurant and internet business.
Reidin NiAonghusa BA, BAI, Grad. Dip.

Reidin joined Griffith College five years ago with 16 years of management and project management experience in the industrial, insurance and high tech sector. She has a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Studies and a teaching diploma. Reidin lectures on ACCA and CPA courses at Griffith College. After just four months lecturing with Griffith College, one of Reidin's student was placed first in the world in Paper 3.4 in December 2005. In just five years, Reidin has amassed 10 ACCA prize -winners.
Eamon Staunton MBA, AITI, C.dip A&F, CPA

Eamon is a senior Griffith College lecturer with Griffith College in professional accountancy and tax. He is in practice as a tax consultant and public auditor and is the author of the GCD tax manuals. Eamon has lectured on the final tax exams of all the main Accountancy bodies in Ireland, the Irish Taxation Institute and the Institute of Public Administration. He has numerous ACCA prizewinning students including six students who achieved first in Ireland and two students who achieved first in the world over the nine years he has worked with the college.
Reg Callanan FCA

Reg is a director and one of the founding members of Griffith College. He was also one Griffith College's first prize winner having achieved 2nd place in Ireland. Reg is regarded by many students as one of the best and most knowledgeable accounting lecturers in Ireland. He has lectured at all levels in accounting and is dedicated to achieving high pass rates with student groups. Reg has educated many prize winners however his focus is on achieving success for all students he teaches.
Rachel Ginnity ACCA, MIATI

Rachel has 7 years experience in the areas of retail and management, she is currently working in practice. She previously gained lecturing experience in the public sector. She is a dedicated and popular lecturer with her students.
Noel Daly BComm CPA

Noel has been a lecturer with Griffith College for 10 years, both in Ireland and overseas. In that time he has acquired a steadfast reputation for achieving excellent results for Griffith
College students. A graduate of UCC, Noel worked as a professional accountant in Cork for over 10 years before moving into the field of education. He has lectured extensively at all levels during his time with Griffith College.
Madeleine Ford FCCA

Madeleine is the Head of Strategic and Business Development of the Business Faculty with Griffith College. She has lectured across a breadth of programmes including CPA, Accounting Technicians Ireland and other under-graduate programmes.
Alan Collins BA FCA

Alan is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. Qualified in 1984 he worked with Arthur Young & Co. in Audit, Liquidations, Small Business and Training Department. He then worked as Finance Director in a privately owned holding company for a number of years. At present Alan owns and manages his own business.
Kevin White BA, LLB

Kevin is a practising barrister in the areas of Civil and Criminal Law and holds a first class honours LLB degree from NUI Galway. Prior to entering the Law Library, he worked in the
Legal & Compliance Department of Pioneer Investments. Kevin attended the Honorable Society of King's Inns and was called to the Bar in 2007. He has experience lecturing in the
areas of Contract and Company Law, and is also currently lecturing Law and Ethics to ATI students at Griffith College.
Suzanne Burdis CPA, IATI, HDip

Suzanne has been lecturing for the past number of years to both the professional accountancy and academic students here in Griffith College. She specialises in the areas of Auditing and Financial Accounting.
Martin Corboy BCL, AITI, FCMA, MBA
Martin has been lecturing to professional accountancy students for the last 12 years and has a reputation as an extremely interesting and knowledgeable tutor who combines real world experience with the demands of academic exams. He has taught several ACCA and CIMA prize-winners, including world prize-winners but his prime focus is getting high pass rates for all his classes. He specialises in management accounting, corporate governance and risk management, management and business strategy and taxation.
Gerry Fahy FCCA, CPA, Dip IFRS

From a Financial Services background, Gerry has extensive experience in delivering courses on the ACCA, CIMA and Institute of Bankers syllabi. His lectures are tailored to ensure they are practical and interactive along with ensuring that students understand the application of the topics covered. John Gillespie BSc, ACMA, AMCT
John has lectured on professional accounting qualification courses for ACCA, CPA and undergraduate finance programmes for the past four years. He specialises in Management Accounting & Financial management subjects. Aisling Breathnach BAAF, MBS Acc, ACA, AITI, Dip IFRS

Aisling is a graduate of DCU. On successful completion of her Masters in Accounting she joined Arthur Andersen. While working in practice she qualified as a Chartered Accountant and as a Tax Consultant with the Institute of Taxation in Ireland. Aisling worked overseas with Concern prior to her current role in Industry as a Financial Accountant in Group Finance. In 2009, she attained a Diploma in IFRS from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland. This will be Aisling’s fourth year working with Griffith College.

Alan has lectured with G.C.D. for the past 10 years specialising in Business Strategy, Business Management, Project Management and Organisation Behaviour. He lectures on CPA, ACCA, ATI and Undergraduate Degree Programmes. Alan has previously lectured with the V.E.C.

Isaac has many years experience in both the SME & Multinational Environment. Isaac has worked in Media, IT Services, & Credit Card Processing sectors since qualifying as a Certified Public Accountant.
Christy Kearney Bcomm FCA
A chartered accountant, who has held senior financial roles in Big 4 practice and the Pharmaceutical Industry, Christy lectures extensively on Financial Reporting and Auditing to ACA, ACCA and CPA final year students. He also delivers CPE courses on Financial Reporting and Auditing to members of the various Accounting Institutes. He has published a number of articles on Auditing and Financial Reporting.
Ronan Cosgrove BCL, LLM, BL
Ronan was called to the Bar of Ireland in 2003 and has been a practising barrister for the past four years. He has also been lecturing for the last four years in Portobello College, Plunkett College and has also worked in Blackhall Place. Ronan‘s two main areas of interest are Company Law and Medical Law.
Angela O'Keeffe BA MA
Angela O'Keeffe studied Economics and Mathematics in University College Dublin. Following her graduation with a Masters Degree, she lectured in Dublin City University for one year. She then joined KPMG Stokes Kennedy Crowley in their taxation department where she sat her Professional Taxation examinations. Angela is currently studying in DIT for a Masters Degree in Third Level Teaching and Learning. Angela has taught Mathematics and Economics across many faculties in Griffith College.

Terry Carroll
Terry is a senior lecturer with Griffith College and has extensive lecturing experience. He has achieved outstanding examination results over the last number of years. He currently lectures on a number of different courses for Griffith College.
Deirdre Cogan ACCA, H.Dip.
Deirdre Cogan is a qualified ACCA accountant. She works in industry and has lectured with Griffith College part time for the past 3 years. She lectures financial and management accounting. Deirdre takes a very practical approach to her lecturing using the experience gained from her years in industry.

Andrew is a Barrister at Law working from the Four Courts, Dublin, practising in Civil law, and specifically in Company, Tort and Chancery. Andrew holds a BL & a post-graduate diploma in legal Studies from the Honorable Society of Kings Inns. Graduated from Kings Inns and called to the Bar in Trinity 2006.

Susan is a qualified software engineer and project manager with extensive business analysis and strategy experience and runs her own successful software development company. Noreen O'Sullivan, BBS, ACA

Noreen studied business in Waterford Institute of Technology. After graduating, Noreen trained to be a chartered accountant and during her studies she achieved first place in Ireland in her CAP 2 exams and sixth place in her FAEs. She is currently studying to be a registered tax consultant with the Irish Tax Institute.
