The Professional Law School provides a Themis California Bar Review Home-Study Programme. This programme is the only online bar review course available in Ireland and offers on-demand video lectures linked to outlines, thousands of MBE practice questions, analysed explanations and cross-references, along with your personal progress assessments and study schedule. This self study course allows participants to study at their own pace and own study timetable.

The benefits of becoming a California qualified lawyer
The Irish legal marketplace is very competitive and with increasing globalisation it makes sense for Irish law firms to have staff members who are dual qualified. An Irish lawyer who becomes California qualified will greatly increase their chances of employment in the US, or if they want to practice in Ireland it will improve their chances of working for one of the increasing number of US companies with in-house legal departments.

Becoming a California qualified lawyer
In order to qualify as an attorney-at-law in the state of California, you must pass the California State Bar Exam. The California Bar Examination consists of the Multistate Bar Examination (MBE), six essay questions, and two California Performance Tests. Do I qualify to sit the California Bar Exam?
There is no requirement as such to take another exam in order to sit the California Bar Examination. However, the first step is to contact the CA State Bar to begin the evaluation process, which determines education equivalency. Some information regarding the requirements can be found: here. California Performance Test
The California Performance Test (PT) is a three-hour skills-based exam designed to test an applicant‘s fundamental lawyering skills by applying law in a closed-universe library to a file of specific facts, usually in the form of a memorandum or letter. Themis California Bar Review includes everything you need to master the California PT.

The exam locations include the Bay Area, Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Diego, and potentially others as selected by the State Bar of CA Committee.
